Sean Tillinghast

Sean Tillinghast has a diverse work experience in leadership roles in various companies. Sean started their career at Peterson Manufacturing as a Project Engineer and worked there for eight years. Sean then joined Vanner-Weldon, Inc. as the Chief Engineer for a short period of time. Following that, they moved to Weldon Technologies, Inc. as the VP of Engineering, where they played a crucial role in product development, R&D efforts, and securing partnerships. Sean also established a manufacturing supply base in Taiwan and was awarded multiple patents. After leaving Weldon Technologies, Inc., they joined Akron Brass Company as the VP of Weldon and later became the President. Currently, they are working at IDEX Corporation, first as the VP of Electronics and Lighting in the IDEX Fire & Safety division, and now as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy.

Sean Tillinghast earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Machine design and applied optics from Kettering University in the years 1988 to 1993.
