Alvaro Aquije

Alvaro Aquije is a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer with extensive experience in leading and managing software development projects across various companies. Currently employed at Islands since July 2023, Alvaro is responsible for managing and building client projects utilizing a tech stack that includes Next.js, Typescript, Nest, Node, and PostgreSQL. Prior roles include Lead Software Engineer at Dimension and GoodWork.xyz, where Alvaro refined MVPs and directed application development, respectively. Alvaro has also held positions at Ravn, Scotiabank, lapzo, and Scalable Path, contributing to diverse projects ranging from food delivery applications to educational platforms. Alvaro is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, while having previously studied at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
