Ashley Jefferies has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career as an Assistant Commercial Underwriter at Zurich Insurance, where they focused on supporting the management of existing business. They then worked as a Commercial Underwriter, establishing relationships with insurance brokers and negotiating policies. Later, they joined Zurich Insurance as a Senior Training Consultant, providing training support to sales and service staff and leading culture change initiatives. Ashley then moved to Health-on-Line as a Business Development Manager, where they were involved in product launches and customer feedback forums. They also managed a team of direct reports and provided overall support for the company. After that, they joined Chase Templeton Ltd as a Business Development Director, responsible for driving the launch of new private medical insurance products. Ashley later transitioned to Hampshire County Council, where they held various roles in business transformation and project management. Their responsibilities included service redesign, change management, and cost savings realization. They also worked in partnership with heads of service and assistant directors on opportunity assessments, business cases, and public consultations. Currently, Ashley is the Head of Access & Resources at the Isle of Wight Council, leading on Home to School Transport & Admissions, and Children & Young People's plan for the Isle of Wight.

- From 1992 to 1994, they attended Highbury College of Technology, where they obtained a National Diploma in Business & Finance.

- From 1994 to 1997, they attended the University of Portsmouth and obtained a BA (Hons) in Social Policy & Administration.

- In 2005 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Southampton.

Additionally, Ashley Jefferies obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Hampshire County Council & University of Winchester in July 2017.
