Nada Abubakr

Nada Abubakr currently serves as the Middle East Director for the Global Water Practice at Ricardo plc since October 2023. Prior to this role, Nada held multiple positions at Isle Utilities, including Managing Director for the Middle East and Commercialisation Manager, focusing on accelerating the development and commercialisation of emerging technologies in cleantech. Nada's experience also includes roles as an Investment Analyst at Smart Water Fund, Senior Business Development Associate at UoM Commercial Ltd and Monash University, and an Investment Analyst at the Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund. Nada began a career in intellectual property as a Patent Examiner at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Commercialising Research and a Masters in Engineering from Monash University, as well as a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from The University of Auckland.
