iSPACE: The STEM Learning Place
Sue Hare is an experienced executive in the field of education and engineering, currently serving as the Executive Director at iSPACE: The STEM Learning Place since April 2020, after holding the position of Education Director at the same organization from January 2011 to February 2020. With a background that includes significant roles at GE Aviation, including CF6 Certification and Integration and CF6 Systems Integration, as well as experience in CFM56 Compressor Design, Sue has developed a strong foundation in both technical and educational disciplines. Sue's expertise encompasses project management for grant initiatives, curriculum development, event planning, and adult education, supported by advanced degrees in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.

Mission iSPACE ignites passion for Science and Technology to prepare all learners to thrive in tomorrow’s workforce. About iSPACE iSPACE, the STEM Learning Place, a non-profit organization, serving the Greater Cincinnati Region, makes learning exciting by providing engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs to schools, families and the community. iSPACE programs are aligned with national and state educational standards and complement teaching curricula but they reach beyond the formal classroom setting to spark curiosity and inspire interest in STEM. iSPACE uses best practices in innovative programs to help students and educators build confidence and interest in STEM knowledge and careers. Programs and partnerships are designed to fill the region’s future workforce in manufacturing, technology, research, health care and other STEM-related fields. Participants explore robotics, rocketry, and more. They engage in active, hands-on problem solving and team-based projects, building the skills and confidence they’ll need in their future and as they join our region’s workforce with careers in manufacturing, technology, research, health care, etc. iSPACE makes an impact in over 500 classrooms yearly. Our programs are aligned with national and state educational standards and complement classroom curriculum.
