Serkan Cakir

Serkan Cakir has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Serkan started their career at Glassline Corporation as a Sales Associate, where they reported directly to the Managing Director/Owner. Serkan coordinated international sales to Turkey and Egypt, successfully implementing the 1st international project at Sisecam, Turkey. Serkan identified new international sales opportunities and collaborated with the General Manager and Project Coordinator for project management.

Serkan then worked at Pasabahce as a Sales-Key Account Manager, where they were responsible for key account sales. After that, they joined Atlas Carpet Weaving Ind. Inc. as an Export Sales & Marketing Group Manager, managing the export sales and marketing activities.

Later, Serkan worked at Isra Vision AG, where they held multiple roles. Serkan started as the Regional Manager for Turkey, Greece, and Bulgaria, and then became the Vice President. Serkan eventually served as the General Manager/President for Turkey and the MEA region. In this role, they directed sales, marketing, engineering, and after-sales aspects for multiple business units. Serkan leveraged data-driven insights to determine marketing and sales strategies across distinct industries. Serkan maintained constant communication with employees, worked closely with headquarters and cross-functional managers, and conducted business analysis to develop strategies aligned with organizational goals. Serkan also spearheaded employee engagement initiatives and provided support for HR, finance, credit, aftermarket, marketing, engineering, and product management aspects of the business. Additionally, they played a key role in the re-location of the Istanbul headquarters and the integration phase of the new ATLAS COPCO acquisition within the region. Serkan also established a new branch office in ATLAS COPCO facilities in Istanbul.

Serkan Cakir has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Southeast Missouri State University - Harrison College of Business and Computing, which they completed from 1993 to 1997. Serkan later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Özyeğin University from 2016 to 2017. In 2022, Serkan attended IMD to enhance their skills in Change Management - Mastering the Art of Change & Leadership. Finally, in 2023, they completed the LSE (Leadership for Senior Executives) class at Harvard Business School.
