Dan Varkony

Dan Varkony has extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Dan is currently working as the Chief System Engineer at BlueBird Aero Systems Ltd since October 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries, including Head of System Engineering Tactical UAV and R&D, R&D System Engineering Team leader, and Senior System Engineer from 2017 to 2020.

Before joining IAI, Dan worked at the Israeli Ministry of Defense as a Senior Technical Project Manager from 2013 to 2016 and as a Senior Program Manager from 2009 to 2013. Dan began their career in the Israeli Air Force, where they served as the head of UAS program department from 2007 to 2009, Commander of UAS maintenance department from 2004 to 2007, and Project Manager from 1996 to 2004.

Dan Varkony completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Air Science/Airpower Studies from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 1996. In 1998, they pursued a degree in Computer Software Engineering at Bar-Ilan University. Continuing their education, Dan completed their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in System Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2004.
