Karen Emerson

Karen Emerson is an experienced professional in sales and business development, currently serving as the Sales and Development Manager for Alternative Proteins at ICL Group since July 2022. Prior to this role, Karen held multiple positions at Kerry from July 2016 to July 2022, including Plant-based Business Development Manager and Project Manager for Business Development, focusing on driving market growth across Europe and ensuring effective communication among teams. Karen also coordinated brand projects, collaborating with Marketing and R&D teams to launch consumer-focused NPD activity. Earlier experience includes working as an Administrative Assistant at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, managing food supplement databases and assessing product labels. Karen holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy, Development and Innovation from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from University College Dublin, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in French and Italian from Trinity College Dublin.
