Olaf Kuppinger

Olaf Kuppinger has a diverse work experience in the field of procurement and strategic sourcing. Olaf started their career at MAG IAS, LLC in 2008 as a Buyer in strategic and operative purchasing, handling technical components. Olaf later became the Team Leader for strategic and operative purchasing before moving on to Bosch Rexroth in 2012. At Bosch Rexroth, they worked as a Senior Project Purchasing Manager until 2014. After that, Olaf joined ista in 2014 as a Senior Commodity Manager for OEMs, a role they held until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they served as the Senior Commodity Manager for Mechanics at ista. Olaf then transitioned into the role of an Expert Procurement Engineer, which they held until 2021. In 2022, Olaf became the Lead of Commodity Management at ista and later transitioned to their current role as the Lead of Strategic Sourcing.

Olaf Kuppinger attended the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) from 2003 to 2008, where they pursued a degree in Diplom-Betriebswirt with a focus on Supply Chain Management & Controlling. During their time at THWS, there is no specific field of study mentioned. In 2005 and 2006, they participated in a study abroad program at The University of Queensland, specifically in the field of International Business.

In terms of additional certifications, Olaf obtained IPMA Level C certification as a Certified Project Manager from GPM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e. V. in December 2020. Olaf also received IPMA Level D certification as a Certified Project Management Associate from the same institution in August 2020.
