Jose Uribe has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jose started their career in 1996 as an Entrepreneur, where they were involved in hardware and software sales, contract development, and support work. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as an IT Management Professional at Pink Elephant, where they managed ITIL-based system management and application support.
In 2000, they joined Philips Communications, Security, and Imaging as a Marketing Communications Assistant, where they assisted in integrating internet technologies with marketing communications and participated in e-commerce initiatives.
From 2001 to 2003, they worked as an eBusiness Consultant at Pink Roccade IT Management. There, they led implementation projects of eBusiness process applications and Content Management systems for clients, and implemented advanced content management applications for government organizations to improve performance.
From 2003 to 2007, they served as an Innovation Manager at Living Tomorrow, an innovation platform that showcased future concepts and demonstrations. Jose initiated and coordinated workgroups, guided development, integration, and maintenance of technology concepts.
Jose then joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2007 as an Innovation Manager. Jose was responsible for continuous improvement programs, translating user needs into IT solutions, advising business leaders on technology, and leading the adoption of innovations through workshops and presentations. Jose also managed the implementation of social media technologies and associated processes to improve knowledge transfer and client acquisition efforts.
From 2011, Jose worked as an Independent Consultant, specializing in innovation advice, research, and training. Jose also provided new media consultancy and was associated with Technopolis Group.
Currently, Jose works as the Director of Operations at the ISWA International Solid Waste Association. In this role, they manage operations, responsible for communications, events, and membership management. Jose also leads strategic projects and manages special projects for communication and dissemination on European innovation projects.
Jose Uribe obtained a BSc(eng) in Computing Science from Imperial College London from 1990 to 1993. Jose then pursued an MSc(Eng) in Industrial Design Engineering and Innovation Management from Delft University of Technology from 1994 to 2000.
