Sandy Howerton

Sandy Howerton has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sandy is currently the Director of Technology Solutions at ITA International starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Capital One for over 18 years, where they held multiple positions including Senior Manager of Software Engineering and Senior IT Manager. Before joining Capital One, they worked at LogicaCMG as a Support Manager from 2001 to 2003. Sandy also served as a Support Manager at Cisco Systems from 1999 to 2001 and had a brief managerial role at Amteva in 1999. Sandy began their career at Reynolds Metals Company in 1992 as a Manager of Open Systems until 1999.

Sandy Howerton has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Forestry & Wildlife from Virginia Tech. Additionally, they hold a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in CS from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. In August 2020, Sandy obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
