Andrea Scardaci

Andrea Scardaci has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Andrea most recently worked at Italdesign as the Infotainment Architecture Lead, responsible for leading the design and development of infotainment systems. Prior to that, they were the Domain Leader for User Interface, Infotainment, and Connected Cars at Italdesign.

Before joining Italdesign, Andrea worked at Automotive Lighting, where they held several roles. Andrea was the Software Validation Reference for Lidar Systems, ensuring the quality and performance of software. Andrea also served as the Team Leader for Diagnostics and Network for BCM & Lighting ECUs, overseeing the development and testing of automotive systems. Additionally, Andrea worked as a System Validation Engineer, primarily focusing on body electronics and conducting software test and validation of Body Computer Modules (BCM).

Earlier in their career, Andrea worked at Magneti Marelli as a System Test Engineer, specializing in Body Computer Modules (BCM). Andrea was also an Embedded Software Engineer during their time at Magneti Marelli.

Andrea has also gained experience as a System Engineer at Antech S.p.A., where they were responsible for system engineering tasks. Andrea had an internship at STMicroelectronics as an Internship Student, gaining practical knowledge in the field. Furthermore, they interned at the Bioengineering Lab - University of Catania, where they conducted research and published an article as part of their Bachelor of Science Thesis.

Andrea Scardaci obtained a Master's degree in Automation Engineering and Control of Complex Systems from the Università di Catania, completing their studies from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from the same university during the period of 2005 to 2010. Their education journey started at Liceo Scientifico Galileo Galilei, where they obtained a Maturità scientifica in Mathematics from 2000 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Andrea Scardaci earned a certification in Cybersecurity Foundations from LinkedIn in March 2022.
