Roberto Giacchi

Born in Turin in 1968, he graduated in Economics from La Sapienza University in Rome. After doing his military service as an officer in the Carabinieri Corps, his professional career began at KPMG in 1994. In 1998 he joined the TIM group and followed the M&A activities for the international development of the group in Latin America and Europe. In 1999 he joined Bain & Company where he worked on strategic, commercial and financial projects, in particular for the Telecom, Internet & Technology sector, becoming a Partner in 2005. In 2007 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of PosteMobile and led the company from its foundation, throughout the start-up phase until its success on the market. In 2014 he joined Poste Italiane and took over responsibility for the Mail, Communication and Logistics business unit, taking part in the group’s IPO success in 2015. Subsequently, in 2016, he assumed responsibility, for all Poste Italiane Group products, for the Business Market and the Public Administration. In 2017 he became Group Chief Financial Officer of Poste Italiane. He also became a member of the Board of Directors of PosteVita and Chairman of the Control and Risk Committee as well as a member of the Board of Directors of SIA and of the Strategic and Innovation Committee.
