Assistant Proffesor In The Department Of Software Engineering at ITBA

Marcelo Turrin has had extensive work experience in software engineering and teaching. Marcelo currently works as a Software Engineer at Blue Alba since 2019. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Elementum SCM, where they focused on migrating a monolithic architecture to a more efficient system. Marcelo also worked as a Software Developer at Almundo, specializing in fraud control integration. Marcelo has also held various teaching positions at ITBA, including Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering and Teacher Assistant for multiple courses. Additionally, they have worked as a Project Manager and Technical Leader at Zauber, Java Developer at Snoop Consulting, Intern at ITBA, and Java Developer at Galexianet S.A. Marcelo's skill set includes Java, distributed systems, Java 8, Concurrency, RMI, NoSQL store, and more.

Marcelo Turrin's education history is as follows:

In 1995, Marcelo Turrin attended Instituto Ceferino Namuncura, where they obtained a degree in Perito Mercantil. Marcelo studied there until 1999.

From 2000 to 2006, Marcelo Turrin pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.

In 2021 and 2022, Marcelo Turrin participated in the Innovation Experience Israel program, specifically the International Innovation Experience Israel 360.

In addition to their formal education, Marcelo Turrin has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they earned the Auditor Interno en Sistemas de Gestión de Calidad, según Norma ISO 9001:2008 certification from Bureau Veritas. In 2013, they became a Scrum Master certified by Scrum Alliance. Marcelo also completed the Functional Programming Principles in Scala course from Coursera in 2014 and the Principles of Reactive Programming course from Coursera in 2015.
