Andy Hartigan has extensive work experience in project and program management roles. Andy started their career at SRA International in 2008 as a Management Analyst, where they assisted with oversight of a $40 million contract for the Civilian Personnel Management Service. Andy then moved on to become a Program Coordinator, responsible for coordination between NSF managers and consulting firms developing grant service applications. In 2010, they joined the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology Directorate as a Project Manager. During this time, they also served as a Program Coordinator and team leader, overseeing work allocation, quality checking, training, and development of new team members. In 2017, Hartigan joined DRT Strategies as a Mid-level Project Manager, and then transitioned to IT Coalition in 2019 as a Program Manager. Throughout their career, Hartigan has demonstrated a broad understanding of project management theories and best practices.
Andy Hartigan, PMP, SAFe SA, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in 2008. During their time at Georgetown, they double majored in Management and Marketing. In 2018, Andy achieved the Certified SAFe 4 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Andy also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from The Project Management Institute (PMI), although the specific month and year of their PMP certification were not provided.
