Melissa S. Dekarske

Melissa S. DeKarske currently holds the role of Manager, Records and Information Management at ITC Transmission, a position started in November 2012. In this capacity, Melissa spearheads the development of a comprehensive Records and Information Management program aimed at minimizing data management risks and enhancing compliance with regulatory requirements. Notable achievements include the implementation of a robust RIM policy and retention schedule, the rollout of the OpenText Content Server, and the establishment of a corporate Email Management Policy. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where Melissa specialized in SharePoint design, governance, and training, as well as a Business Development Manager at Iron Mountain, focusing on document management solutions. Early career experience encompasses a Records Analyst position at DTE Energy Services, where training and vendor management were key responsibilities. Melissa earned a BA in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Central Michigan University, expected in January 2026.
