Steve Alvarez

Steve Alvarez has over 35 years of work experience in various technology and engineering roles. Currently, they are the SVP Innovation, Technology & Operations at ITEL Laboratories, Inc. Steve is responsible for daily operations, research and development of mobile products, and operational innovation. At ITEL, they re-organized lab systems and implemented a new system, leading to a 25% increase in productivity. Prior to their current role, they worked as the VP of Software Engineering at Strategic Technologies from 1994 to 2005. Before that, they held the position of Contract Software Engineer at Harris Corporation from 1993 to 1994. Steve also worked as a Senior Engineer at McDonnell Douglas Space Systems from 1990 to 1994, Sr. Software Engineer at E-Systems from 1988 to 1990, and Software Engineer at Westinghouse Defense & Electronics from 1985 to 1988.

Steve Alvarez attended The Bolles School from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Florida State University from 1981 to 1984. Later, in 1987, they engaged in graduate studies in Artificial Intelligence at The Johns Hopkins University, completing their coursework in the field in 1988.
