Steven van der Plas

Steven Van der Plas has extensive experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Steven is currently the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at iTeos Therapeutics, starting in 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Galapagos for over 12 years, where they held various roles including Group Leader, Team Leader, Senior Scientist, and Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry. At Galapagos, they were involved in supervising different projects and designing and synthesizing new small molecules. Steven also has experience as a PhD student at Universiteit Gent from 2004 to 2008.

Steven Van der Plas completed their education at Ghent University. Steven earned their Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Ghent University from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Chemistry at Ghent University, which they completed from 2004 to 2008.
