Jaap G. van der Laan

Jaap G. van der Laan holds extensive experience in nuclear engineering and project management, currently serving as Chair of the Working Group on the Test Blanket Module Program Safety Demonstration Update and as a Nuclear Engineer for Test Blanket Systems at the ITER Organization since July 2013. Responsibilities include overseeing the execution and monitoring of arrangements with ITER Members and leading strategies for nuclear materials management and waste management. Prior roles include lecturer at FusionAcademy.eu, business manager at EWAC B.V., and various managerial and development positions in nuclear research and consulting. Jaap G. van der Laan holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics from the University of Groningen and a VWO degree from Gomarus College.
