Victor Babenko

Victor Babenko is a senior staff software engineer at Iterable. Victor has previous experience working as a mobile application developer for Piksoft and SolverClub. At Piksoft, they were responsible for creating and maintaining an Android version of a top-rated scanner application, preparing updates for the iOS version of the application, creating and launching a faxing app on Android and iOS, full-stack, including backend infrastructure, and creating custom controls and internal libraries for both Android and iOS. Victor also performed optimizations of Java and Native code. At SolverClub, they were responsible for designing and developing back-end in Ruby on Rails, developing front-end interactive features with AJAX using Backbone, coordinating code merges and deployments, improving SQL and rendering performance of a Rails application, reducing page load time, implementing Push Notifications with Websockets using Faye server, migrating the project to Ruby on Rails 4, discovering a bug in Rails 4 in the process; contributing the fix, extended integration tests and updated documentation.

Victor Babenko studied IT management at the State University of Management (SUM). Victor then went on to study law at the Moscow Open Social Academy. Finally, they completed their master's degree in law at the State University - Higher School of Economics.

They work with David Truong - Head of Mobile Engineering, Jonathan Eng - Staff Machine Learning Engineer, and Kevin Tham - Staff Site Reliability Engineer. Victor Babenko reports to Bill Press, SVP, Engineering.
