Domas Monkus

Domas Monkus has extensive work experience in software engineering. Domas is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Iterative since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Canonical for a total of 10 years. At Canonical, they held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer II, and Software Engineer from 2012 to 2022. Before joining Canonical, they worked at Neurotechnology as an Algorithm Developer and Developer from 2011 to 2012. Domas also has experience as a Cofounder at Ututi from 2010 to 2011 and as a Cofounder and Developer at Nous from 2008 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Developer at M2 technologijos in 2008 and at Baltic Amadeus from 2004 to 2006.

Domas Monkus has a diverse education history. Domas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Vilnius University from 2003 to 2007. Domas further pursued their education and earned a Master's degree in Biophysics from Vilnius University from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they attended the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in 2006 and 2007, where they studied Computer Science. Domas also has several certifications, including Practical Machine Learning, Software Defined Networking, Functional Programming Principles in Scala, Control of Mobile Robots, and Image and video processing: From Mars to Hollywood with a stop at the hospital. These certifications were obtained from Coursera, with the most recent one earned in December 2014.
