Miranda W Ella

Miranda W Ella is an experienced leader and communicator within various academic and community-based organizations. As President of the IC Pagan Community since January 2017, Miranda facilitates meetings, event planning, and collaboration with outside groups. In addition, Miranda serves as a Science Columnist for The Ithacan, focusing on making scientific concepts accessible and engaging to a diverse audience. As a Co-Editor in Chief for The Honors Undergraduate Scholarly Journal, Miranda oversees the publication of student works, ensuring high-quality content. Miranda's research contributions include investigating plant responses to natural disturbances at Witherup Lab and studying infectious mechanisms at Gondek Lab. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ithaca College, coupled with various roles that enhance skills in research, editing, and community engagement.
