Ever Portillo

Ever Portillo has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ever currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at ITJuana since October 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Manager and Site Lead, Software Engineering at ITJuana from January 2021 to September 2021.

Before joining ITJuana, Ever worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Software Engineering Manager from July 2018 to January 2021. In this role, they partnered with different business units to accelerate the company's IoT connectivity strategy and bring their instruments online in the Cloud. Ever also managed high-performing teams, focusing on people management and development.

From December 2014 to July 2018, Ever worked at Rain Bird Corporation as a Staff Engineer. In this role, they supported and built corporate systems for the company, collaborating with various business units and internal IT teams. Ever designed and developed software solutions to integrate with ERP, Payroll, Marketing, Engineering, and other systems, supporting more than 20 applications with a wide range of technologies.

Ever's early career was at Telvista, where they worked as a Software Development Specialist from January 2004 to December 2014, and prior to that, as a Software Developer from November 1999 to December 2003.

Ever Portillo attended Inttelmex IT from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master's degree in IT Administration. Prior to that, they attended Universidad Autónoma de Baja California from 1996 to 2001 to study Computer Science, although it is unclear whether they completed a degree at that time.
