Jonathan Lieberman

Co-Founder & CEO at Itopia

Jonathan Lieberman is the Co-Founder and CEO of Itopia, a cloud computing company. Jonathan has also served as the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of IPFone, a cloud based unified communications provider. Jonathan has been in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. Jonathan started their career as a lawyer at Mershon Sawyer before co-founding Entra Communications in 1992. Entra Communications was acquired by IPFone in 1995.

Jonathan grew IPFone from a start-up to one of the largest regional cloud communications providers in the US with over 1,000 corporate customers and 100 employees. Jonathan branded IPFone as a market leader and innovator in the VoIP industry for the early introduction of productivity enhancing applications such as hosted PBX, click-to-dial functionality using MS Outlook and Voicemail to text. Jonathan was recognized as a “Diamond Level” distributor of Nextel wireless services and its largest Authorized Dealer in the Southeastern US. The wireless distribution business was started to augment IPFone’s landline business focus and grew to become a market leader.

In 2012, Jonathan left IPFone to start Itopia with the goal of simplifying cloud computing for small businesses. Itopia was acquired by Google in 2017.

Jonathan Lieberman attended the University of Miami School of Law and obtained their Juris Doctor. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in the School of Journalism and Communications.
