Sarah Abel is a seasoned professional in transportation planning and community design, currently serving as the Sustainable Safety Practice Lead at Toole Design Group since December 2021, where safety initiatives are spearheaded across North America. Previously, Sarah held the role of Transportation Planning Director at ITE from October 2018 to December 2021, managing planning and safety projects within a network of transportation experts. Sarah's earlier experience includes positions as Town Planner for the Town of St. Michaels and Community Design Manager/Interim Director at the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy. Additionally, Sarah contributed as South Quadrant Director for the American Institute of Architecture Students and gained foundational experience through internships with SHW Group and Elliott + Associates Architects. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Public Policy from the University of Oklahoma.
