Jana Shemano

Jana Shemano has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. Jana was a CSIA Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Ski Instructor at Mt. Norquay from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder, Editor-in-Chief, and Host of On Sustainability, and also worked as a Ski Instructor at Big Sky Resort. In 2019, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan's Organizational Studies. In 2021, they became a Researcher at MIT D-Lab, and also worked as an Associate Project Manager and Executive Fellow in the Office of Arianna Huffington at Thrive. Jana is currently a Business Development Associate at August.

Jana Shemano attended the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from 2017 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies - Global Environment and Health and English Literature. Jana also holds a Level 1 Avalanche Safety Training certification from Cloud Nine Guides, as well as a Level 2 Certified Ski Instructor certification from the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance.
