Torsten Hentschel

Senior Lecturer Airport Management at IU International University of Applied Sciences

Torsten Hentschel is an experienced airport consultant and educator, currently serving as the Managing Director of TH Airport Consulting since 2010, where consulting services focus on enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency in airports. As the Theme Leader for Passenger Experience at ACI EUROPE, Torsten oversees strategic initiatives, having contributed to various significant publications, including the "Guidelines for a Healthy Passenger Experience." Additionally, as the Rapporteur of ACI EUROPE's Taskforce on Passenger Experience, Torsten was instrumental in revising the Guidelines for Passenger Services published in 2018. Torsten has also held senior roles in terminal planning and construction management, including positions at Logplan and Leipzig Airport, and currently combines consulting with academia as a Senior Lecturer in Airport Management at IUBH University of Applied Sciences. Torsten Hentschel holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from UNSW and a Dipl. Ing. in Aeronautical Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin.
