Job Corps Field Coordinator

Jim Purdy is an experienced professional in the glazing and job training fields, currently serving as the Job Corps Field Coordinator for the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades since December 2007. In this role, Jim oversees Job Corps programs across six centers in the Northwest, including states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. With a background as a Field Coordinator and Job Corps glazing instructor, Jim has dedicated nearly two decades to supporting instructors and graduates in the Job Corps network. Additionally, Jim has extensive hands-on experience as a Union Glazier/Welder since 1980, and taught glazing skills to apprentices at Mt. Hood Community College from 1997 to 2004. Jim holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science Occupational Development from Marshall University and has furthered education at multiple institutions.
