Marina S.

Marina S. has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Marina is currently working at Iveric Bio as the Sr Director of Gene Therapy Analytical Development and QC in Clinical Analytical Development. Marina joined this company in May 2021. Prior to Iveric Bio, Marina worked at Spark Therapeutics, Inc. where they served as the Assay Development Lead-GLP from December 2018 to January 2020. Marina also held positions as Sr Analytical Scientist and QC Lead during their time at Spark Therapeutics. Marina's career began at Thomas Jefferson University where they completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology from May 2000 to October 2001. Marina then moved on to the University of Pennsylvania, where they held roles as a Research Specialist Grade D, Sr. Research Investigator in the Department of Genetics, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship. Marina also gained valuable experience at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a Scientist III and Senior QC Analyst. Throughout their career, Marina has showcased their expertise and dedication to the field of genetics and analytical development.

Marina S. obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunochemistry from The M.M. Shemyakin–Yu.A. Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the RAS, following their education at the Saratov State Medical University, where they completed a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
