Dr. Michael Westphal

Dr. Michael Westphal has a diverse work experience in the field of research and product care chemistry. Dr. Michael started their career in 2012 as a PhD researcher at the University of Newcastle (UON), Australia. Dr. Michael further expanded their research expertise as a PhD researcher at The University of Queensland in 2011 and as a researcher at the University of Heidelberg from 2009 to 2014. During their time at the University of Heidelberg, they also served as a PhD researcher. In 2014, Dr. Westphal joined Ivoclar Vivadent AG, where they took on various roles including research associate and team leader. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Department Product Care Organic Chemistry at Ivoclar Vivadent AG.

Dr. Michael Westphal has a diverse education history. Dr. Michael obtained a Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma from Alphadi Akademie Kassel in 2014. Prior to that, they pursued their passion for Chemistry at various institutions. Dr. Westphal earned a Dr. rer. nat. degree from Heidelberg University between 2009 and 2013. Dr. Michael also completed a Research Doctorate at both the University of Newcastle in 2012 and The University of Queensland from 2011 to 2012. Earlier on, they received a Diploma in Chemistry from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg / University of Heidelberg, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. In 2000 and 2001, they began their academic journey with a Prediploma in Practical Informatics at the University of Mannheim.
