Aaron Zheng

Software Developer Internship at iVoyant

Aaron Zheng has a diverse work experience in the fields of software development, research, and engineering. Aaron worked as a Software Developer Intern at iVoyant in 2023. Prior to that, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at JIPCAD at UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS), where they learned and used JIPCAD software to create 3D-CAD drawings and developed a Visual Studio Code extension for the NOME language. In 2022, Aaron was the Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Phocabulary, an app that helps users learn about objects through their camera, where they led a team and oversaw all technical aspects of the app. During their time at Lingnan University in 2020-2021, they designed a human-robot interaction application using the Zenbo robot and created lesson slides about statistics. Lastly, Aaron worked as an Electronic Engineering Intern at City University of Hong Kong in 2019, where they built a miniature electrical car and coded it to avoid obstacles using Arduino.

Aaron Zheng completed their primary education at Hong Lok Yuen International School from 2009 to 2013. Aaron then attended Renaissance College from 2013 to 2018 for their primary and secondary education. After completing high school, they enrolled at Renaissance College Hong Kong from 2018 to 2022 to earn their High School Diploma. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, which they are expected to complete in 2026.
