Professional Learning Specialist at IXL Learning

Rebecca Schollmeyer has extensive work experience in the education field, starting in 2014 as a Student Teacher at Jackson-Mann Elementary School. Rebecca then worked as a Special Education Teacher's Aide at Angier Elementary School from January to June 2015. In 2015, they joined UP Academy Dorchester, where they served as a 5th Grade Science Teacher from August 2015 to August 2016, and later transitioned to become a Second Grade Teacher from August 2016 to July 2018. Subsequently, in 2018, they took on the role of a Special Education Teacher for the Extended School Year program at Boston Public Schools from June to August. From August 2018 to August 2020, they worked as a Fifth Grade Teacher at Bilingual European School. Following this, they spent two years from August 2020 to October 2022 as a Fourth Grade Teacher at The Center for Early Education. Most recently, in October 2022, they joined IXL Learning as a Professional Learning Specialist.

Rebecca Schollmeyer completed their Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Boston College in 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Moderate Disabilities from the Boston College Lynch School, which they obtained in 2016.

Rebecca Schollmeyer also holds several additional certifications, including the California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Massachusetts Elementary (1-6) Professional License, Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) Initial License, Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement, and Teaching English Language Learners (TELL) Certificate from Boston College Lynch School.
