Craig Shimasaki

Craig Shimasaki has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and medical field. Craig is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Moleculera Labs, a Precision Medicine Company that specializes in diagnosing neurologic, psychiatric, and behavioral disorders. Craig has been with the company since 2011 and oversees the clinical laboratory that performs testing on thousands of patients.

In 2016, Shimasaki co-founded Izotropic Corp. and serves as an advisor. The company is developing advanced Breast CT Technology for early detection of breast cancer.

From 2011, Shimasaki has also worked as a Sr. Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Oklahoma, where they teach technology entrepreneurship and mentors student teams.

Prior to these roles, Shimasaki founded and served as CEO of BioSource Consulting Group, which provides strategic consulting for biotechnology companies. Shimasaki's earlier experience includes being the VP of R&D and COO at ZymeTx Inc., a biotechnology company specializing in viral disease diagnosis and treatment. Craig was also responsible for leading the research department at Symex Corp and worked as a Research Associate at Genentech, where they contributed to the development of recombinant DNA expressed proteins.

Craig Shimasaki earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1983. Craig then pursued further education and obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from The University of Tulsa between 1989 and 1995. Craig later attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and earned their MBA between 2003 and 2005.
