Doug Mettenburg

Doug Mettenburg has a diverse work experience in the engineering and logistics field. Doug started their career as an Industrial Engineer at Titan Tire in 1998, where they developed real-time warehouse inventory systems and performed statistical studies. Doug then worked at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. as a Logistics Engineer I and II, where they gathered customer requirements and designed software applications. At Transplace, they took on various roles, including IT Software Engineer II, Sr. Logistic Engineer, and IT Team Manager. In these positions, they developed Java Servlet applications, explored potential improvements in supply chain networks, and coordinated the implementation of new clients onto Transplace's platform. Doug also worked for NextJet as a Product Specialist, responsible for designing customer supply chain business processes and implementing new customers onto their products. Most recently, they returned to J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. as the VP of Engineering & Technology.

Doug Mettenburg obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University, which they attended from 1995 to 1998. Doug later pursued a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas, completing their studies in 2007.
