Jim Gruwell

Jim Gruwell has extensive work experience in supply chain management and strategic sourcing. Jim is currently the VP Global Supply Chain and CPO at JB Poindexter & Co, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Planning and Workforce Management, Analytics, Quality & Continuous Improvement at Chewy from May 2021.

From 2014 to 2021, Jim worked at Cummins Inc., where they held various roles including Head of Global Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing and Executive Director - Supply Chain Strategy. In these positions, they led sourcing and supply assurance teams and drove organizational capability improvement, resulting in significant value capture transformation.

Before their tenure at Cummins Inc., Jim worked at Dell from 2005 to 2014. During their time at Dell, they held several roles such as Director - Supply Chain Enablement and Director - Global Fulfillment Supply Chain Design. In these positions, they led various teams and initiatives focused on logistics process improvement, transportation management, and global fulfillment engineering.

Earlier in their career, Jim worked at Solectron as a Business Unit Leader in Design Services and Prototyping Operations, overseeing medium-sized business units delivering design and product launch services. Jim also spent several years at IBM as a Senior Software Engineering Manager, managing operating systems software and device drive engineers.

Overall, Jim Gruwell has a strong background in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and leadership roles, with experience in diverse industries such as manufacturing, e-commerce, and electronics.

Jim Gruwell attended Purdue University from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
