We are seeking a motivated and talented co-op student to join our Plumbing Coordination Team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that align with your academic and career interests.   You will be using three- dimensional 3rd party AutoCAD software to assist our plumbing coordinators with the operation, administration, and organization of project related activities to help successfully execute projects from start to finish.

After finishing your time here, you will have developed professional etiquette, as well as gained experience in industry communication, general piping and building construction, and various software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit.

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the design and drafting of Plumbing systems using CAD software.

  • Create detailed technical drawings and schematics based on engineering specifications.

  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and efficient designs.

  • Update and maintain CAD libraries and documentation.

  • Conduct site visits to collect data and verify existing conditions for design accuracy.

  • Support the review and revision of project drawings and plans.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design solutions.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting and Design, or a related field.

  • Experience or working knowledge in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Detailed-oriented and organized

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to collaborate in small groups or as a part of a larger project team

  • Ability to read detailed plans and blueprints

  • Ability to work with business related metrics

  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills

  • Basic understanding of Plumbing systems and principles.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
