Position Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled, quality-oriented, and safety-oriented entry level construction professionals to perform engineering duties through multiple facets of our central Texas operation. Our company relies on qualified candidates to bring their talents and work ethic to service the heavy highway construction industry. As a Project Engineer, you will be afforded the opportunity to perform project engineering work in a wide variety of roles. At various points in your career, appointments in field engineering, office engineering, scheduling, surveying, estimating, equipment & fleet management and project controls may all form part of your professional development at JD Abrams.

Job Requirements
Candidate must possess a BS degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or Business degree from an accredited college or university or possess related field experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time, including rotating schedules, shift work, or weekend work as required by projects
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
Willingness to work in the many different aspects of construction
Regular, reliable attendance
Must have a valid Driver’s License
