Barbara Engelhardt is a distinguished professor in the field of statistical genetics, currently serving at Stanford University School of Medicine since August 2022 and as a senior investigator at Gladstone Institutes since September 2021. Engelhardt has held prominent academic positions at Princeton University, where roles included both professor and associate professor from September 2014 to August 2022, and was a principal scientist at Genomics plc from July 2019 to September 2020. Previous experience includes positions as an assistant professor at Duke University and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago, as well as work as a statistical geneticist at 23andMe and a summer intern at Google, Inc. Engelhardt's early career involved programming and research at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
