Jihyo Chung

Jihyo Chung is a quantitative research intern at J. Goldman & Co., L.P. since June 2022 and a data science consultant at Carnegie Mellon University since January 2022. Responsibilities include measuring app crash rates for Dexcom using Python, SQL, and R, as well as creating visualizations with Tableau. As a teaching and research assistant at Carnegie Mellon, Jihyo refined multimodal datasets and developed statistical models to assess teacher bias and its impact on student success. Prior experience includes a data analyst internship at LG Chem, where Jihyo analyzed over 100,000 chemical accident reports and implemented KoBERT for new data models. Jihyo is pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University, expected to graduate in 2033, having previously earned a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Machine Learning from the same institution in 2023.
