Galen Mulrooney has a strong background in information architecture, systems analysis, and modeling within the healthcare industry. Starting in 1999, Mulrooney worked as a Systems Analyst for J P Systems, Inc., where they served as the chief modeler for the Government Computer-based Patient Record Framework (GCPR). In this role, Mulrooney conducted information requirements workshops, developed domain and implementation models, and represented the GCPR project's interests with international standards organizations. In 2002, Mulrooney became a Systems Analyst for the U.S. Department of Commerce, where they redesigned systems used in the chemical industry. They then transitioned to a role as a Systems Analyst for the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), where they designed a new relational database structure, migrated data to SQL Server, and implemented a Visual Basic front-end for data entry and retrieval. Finally, in 2004, Mulrooney became the Lead Information Architect for J P Systems, Inc., serving as the lead modeler for the Veteran's Health Administration's Health Information Model (VHIM). Responsibilities included developing UML models, representing VHA's interests with international standards organizations, and providing technical direction and outreach for the project.
Galen Mulrooney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Computer Information Systems from Park University, with attendance from 1990 to 1993. Subsequently, Galen pursued a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration at Troy University, graduating between 1997 and 1999.
