Hamza Zakraoui

Hamza Zakraoui is a distinguished Project Development and Strategic Lead at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) since January 2025, focusing on the Morocco Innovation and Evaluation Lab. In addition, Hamza serves as a Lecturer and Founder of the Evidence-Based in Development Policy and Design Master Program at Ecole Centrale Casablanca. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Director and Chief of Staff at IDinsight, where strategic project leadership and regional operations were key responsibilities across West and North Africa. Hamza held significant positions at the European Commission and the French Treasury, focusing on pension systems and public policy analysis during the Covid-19 crisis. Academic contributions as a lecturer were made at several prestigious institutions including Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and Sciences Po. Hamza holds multiple Master's degrees in Economics from ENS Paris-Saclay and Paris School of Economics, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
