Janoah Williams

Educational Adviser at Jack Kent Cooke

As an educational adviser, Janoah provides academic advising and support to the Cooke College Scholars and Cooke Transfer Scholars. Before joining the Foundation, Janoah served as the Assistant Director in the Office of Retention and Graduation at Ball State University, providing holistic support to freshman commuters, transfers, and students at risk of leaving the university. She oversaw two mentorship programs that provided new students with individualized advising to help in their transition and acclimation to campus. She also served as a staff advisor to Chi Sigma Alpha, the student affairs honor society, and Transfer Student Association. Her previous roles have increased her passion to mentor and aid students in their transition throughout and post-college.

Janoah earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
