Carol Bult

Associate Director, JAX Cancer Center Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Core at The Jackson Laboratory

Carol Bult has extensive experience in academia and cancer research, currently holding the positions of Professor and Knowlton Family Endowed Chair, as well as Associate Director of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Core at The Jackson Laboratory since 1997. Bult has also served as Deputy Director of the JAX Cancer Center, overseeing research initiatives like the Patient Derived Xenograft and Cancer Avatar program. Additional roles have included leadership positions at the University of Maine Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering and at Tufts University as a Research Professor. Prior to these roles, Bult worked as a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Institution and as an Investigator at The Institute for Genomic Research. Bult earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of New Hampshire and a B.S. in Biology with distinction from George Mason University.
