Damien Chaussabel has extensive work experience in various research and leadership roles in the field of translational medicine and systems biology. Damien is currently serving as a Principal Scientist at The Jackson Laboratory since 2022. Prior to that, Damien worked at Sidra Medicine from 2014 to 2022, where they held the positions of Executive Director, Div of Translational Medicine and Full Investigator & Director, Systems Biology. Damien also worked as an Associate Investigator at both Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason from 2010 to 2014 and Baylor Health Care System from 2008 to 2010, where they previously started as an Assistant Investigator from 2004 to 2008. Damien began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 2000 to 2004.
Damien Chaussabel obtained their Master's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Université libre de Bruxelles from 1991 to 1995. Damien then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from the same university, completing it from 1995 to 1999.
