Gabriel E. R. is a Computational Scientist at The Jackson Laboratory since August 2020, focusing on the development of computational methods for genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic research. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (CSIC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra), utilizing long-read sequencing technologies for genome assembly and characterization of transposable elements. Gabriel held a position as a Bioinformatician at IMPPC, where bioinformatics tools for NGS data analysis were developed, and collaborated closely with lab personnel on experimental approaches. Academic training includes a PhD in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from Universidad de Salamanca, with additional visiting studies at ETH Zürich and the University of Adelaide. Gabriel’s formative education includes a master’s degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics and a licentiate degree in Biology from Universidad Nacional de Salta.
