William Frazier

William Frazier is a Computational Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since June 2016, focusing on grain growth, recrystallization, and phase transformation through mesoscale simulation techniques. Significant projects include developing an integrated simulation methodology for the microstructure evolution of metallic materials during thermomechanical processing. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Student at Carnegie Mellon University where Frazier explored abnormal grain growth and led the development of a computational grain growth model. Earlier roles include research at Drexel University on Aluminum alloy deformation, internships at NASA Glenn and Langley Research Centers, focusing on nanostructures and additive manufacturing, and technical support as an Engineering Technician at NAVAIR. Frazier holds a PhD and BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and Drexel University, respectively.
