Gregory Cary

Gregory Cary is a Computational Scientist and Bioinformatics Analyst at The Jackson Laboratory since January 2020, with previous experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University from January 2014 to January 2020. Cary served as an Adjunct Professor at Chatham University in early 2016, teaching biochemistry to both undergraduate and graduate students. Cary completed a PhD at the University of Washington, where research focused on transcriptional dysregulation and neurodegeneration, and previously contributed to developing methods for RNA granule characterization during doctoral studies at the Institute for Systems Biology. Early career experiences include working as a laboratory technician at Massachusetts General Hospital and as a Research Assistant at Colby College, leading to involvement in regenerative biology research. Cary holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular & Cellular Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Colby College.
