Ilian Radichev is a Senior Scientist at The Jackson Laboratory since October 2021, with prior experience as a Staff Scientist at Sanford Health from January 2010 to October 2021, where the research focus included developing methods to halt the progression of type 1 diabetes (T1D) and studying the role of checkpoint molecules in autoimmunity. Ilian also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sanford Health, investigating T cell infiltration mechanisms in pancreatic islets and identifying new prognostic markers for early T1D detection. Additional experience includes roles as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Immunology Research and a Post-doctoral Fellow at Sanford Burnham Prebys, where findings included interactions between MT1-MMP and ANT in cancer cells. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Biology of DNA replication from the Institute of Molecular Biology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, a Master's degree in Cell/Cellular Biology and Histology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
