Laura Muller

Director, STEM And Undergraduate Education at The Jackson Laboratory

Laura Muller has a diverse work experience in the field of STEM and education. Laura is currently the Director of STEM and Undergraduate Education at The Jackson Laboratory since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Williams College for five years as the Director of Quantitative Skills Programs and Peer Support. Before that, they held a position as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Wheaton College (MA) from 1998 to 2016, and also served as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, they have worked at The Jackson Laboratory as a Residence Supervisor for their Summer Student Program in both 2008 and 2010. Laura has also gained experience as a Visiting Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002 and from 1993 to 1995, as well as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Boston College from 1995 to 1998. Laura started their career as a Resident Tutor at Kirkland House, Harvard University from 1994 to 1997.

Laura Muller received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Bard College in 1990. Laura then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from The University of Texas at Austin in 1995.
