Milo Careaga

Milo Careaga is an experienced professional in the field of immunology and biomedical research, currently serving as the Manager of Project Scientists at The Jackson Laboratory since September 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing a team that develops genetic mouse models for various studies. Prior to this role, Milo worked as a Senior Project Scientist at The Jackson Laboratory and as a Project Scientist at Verndari Inc., focusing on vaccine development. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from California State University-Sacramento. Previous research experience includes conducting NIH-funded studies on the immune system's role in neurodevelopmental disorders during a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Davis and investigating immune responses in neuropsychiatric disorders as a Graduate Student Researcher at the same institution.
